Blade Runner Collage Project

Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the  Tannhäuser  Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.”    We decided to construct our collage around the quote within the film said by Roy just before his death. When Roy said “All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Time to die.”, I began to think about the two sides within  Blade Runner ’s world and how the construct of time remains an ever-present theme throughout the depiction of both Deckard and the Replicants.    For these reasons, I found that the use of an umbrella could act as a metaphor for the want or need for more time by humanity and the rain washing eve...

Blade Runner and Its Connection to the Overall Discussion of Artificial Intelligence

  -         Blade Runner  Info - Release Date: June 25, 1982 - Director: Ridley Scott -Main Storyline: Within the film, the Tyrell Corporation developed a kind of artificial intelligence in the form of “replicants” who look and act like humans. When these replicants begin to rebel on an off-Earth colony, they then become illegal on Earth.
